Therapeutic Approaches
I draw from a range of approaches and use them thoughtfully, depending on what feels most supportive for you. Rather than following a rigid formula, I pay attention to what’s happening in the room and tailor the work to your needs. Approaches I often integrate include:
Mindfulness-based work
Developing a clear, compassionate relationship with present-moment experience
Somatic Therapy
Exploring relationship with the body as a place of healing
EMDR
A structured, contained approach to gently reprocess trauma
Parts Work / IFS
Approaching inner experiences with curiosity to support holistic self-integration and cohesion
CBT
Examining how patterns of thought shape experience and learning more helpful ways of responding
Existential Therapy
Exploring questions of meaning, freedom, responsibility, and connection
Trauma-informed Care
Prioritizing safety, choice, collaboration, and pacing throughout the process
You don’t need to understand these approaches for therapy to be effective. What matters most is that the work feels supportive, meaningful, and responsive to you.
If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call/text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
